The café’s midnight crew of animal shifters welcomes Cassidy into their small tragic family, but Lorelei, the silver-eyed witch in charge, has other motives. Cassidy plays along with the witch’s trials—digging graves, performing midnight rituals—and soon discovers the enchanting café hides a dark secret in its grounds, its soul-calming brews, and the whispering crystal around the witch’s neck.

When a monster-hunting guild threatens to destroy Cassidy’s found sense of belonging, she must make a choice that could mean life or death for her new friends. Will she use her Golden ability to save The Lodge or deny the magic within her once and for all?
